Motivational Interviewing Consultation Team

img

MI@MU is a consultation team aimed at helping members of the MU and Columbia communities develop and elaborate skills in Motivational Interviewing (MI) in order to improve assessment, intervention, and referral services for college students at risk. The team serves as a collaborative network of support for health and student service professionals striving to do the sometimes difficult work of giving others "a good listening to."

MI@MU meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, NOON, at the Student Health Center. For information on MI@MU, contact oneills@health.missouri.edu

The program consists of a 2 hour workshop and a 1 hour individual follow-up session, and is designed to assess patterns of substance and related negative consequences while encouraging risk reduction.
