Summer Welcome at the SHC
Immunization Clinic
Where to go: Things to have ready when you arrive at the SHC: Becoming compliant with MU’s Immunization Policy is the first step towards a healthy and happy first semester at Mizzou! Summer Welcome is the perfect time for students to get to know the Student Health Center and familiarize themselves with the services we offer. Students taking more than 6 credit hours a semester are charged a Pre-Paid Health Fee as part of their tuition, that covers a wide range of services. Ask any of our SHC staff for more information about the Pre-Paid Health Fee! |
Chronic Illnesses & Your Medical History Parents and students should take the time to review their medical history and fill out the Medical History Form before visiting the Student Health Center. Having this information on hand before a student arrives at the SHC will make their visit easier and help to ensure a healthy career at Mizzou. Students with Chronic Illnesses should visit the SHC and meet with a provider in order to set up a proper plan for care during their stay at Mizzou. Meeting with a provider will give students and parents a chance to talk about their specific illness and the care they will receive during their career at Mizzou. However, all students, not just those with chronic illnesses should take the time to fill out the Medical History Form. By having access to the information on this form, our providers and nurses will be able to diagnose potential problems early and take into account prior injuries, illnesses or medical occurences when students come to the SHC seeking medical care. Please Click Here to download the Medical History Form. Fill it out and bring it with you to your first visit. |
