Mental Health

The MU Student Health Center provides services not only for physical well-being but also to enhance students' emotional and psychological well-being. The Mental Health department consists of psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, and a licensed clinical social worker. Services covered by the health fee include psychiatric assessment, medication management and psychotherapy, with some limits on the number of visits per semester that are covered by the health fee. Students commonly visit the mental health team for problems including depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties that interfere with academic and/or social performance.

Mental health appointments, along with all SHC appointments, are kept confidential. Information is shared with parents/others only with a student's consent. To schedule an appointment, call (573) 882-1483. Visits are by appointment only.

For credentials of our mental health team, please view the Meet the Staff web page.
