Five ways to make the most of your hike

1. Bring an easy to carry water bottle or hydration pack – it's important to stay hydrated.

2. Pack a snack –like trail mix or a granola bar, to maintain energy.

3. Limit use of technology– connect with nature by being present for your experience. Turn off your phone or camera and commit the sights, sounds and smells of your adventure to memory.

4. Check the weather before you go– Don't be surprised by rain showers, a chilly wind or muddy trail.

5. Invite a friend– hit the trails with a friend or loved one. Socializing adds to the calming feeling of being outside and your friend could use some de-stressing too!
