Three ways to stay active outside the gym

1. Yoga at home – Focus on stretching or toning your body in the comfort of your own home. You don’t need much to do yoga in your own living space. Find a blanket, towel or use a yoga mat, if you have one, to define a comfortable space for your practice. Our online yoga audios can help you get started.

2. Cleaning & organizing – Did you know that housework and chores count towards daily movement? Some movement of the body is better than no movement at all. Organizing your room, vacuuming, cleaning out the fridge, taking out the garbage are all ways to get active indoors.

3. Dance– Turn on your favorite music and begin jammin’ out. This isn’t about following a choreographed dance or Zumba routine. This is about you and doing what you love! Jump around, spin, twist, and move! Invite friends or get wild alone, and be mindful of furniture and pets.
