Try Slogging (Slow Jogging)

Yes, it's a thing! This week we encourage you to go for a slog (slow jog). The weather is great this week, so get outside with a friend. The point is, you don't have to run fast or far, just try getting your heart rate up for around 30 minutes. A great way to try it is to join one of our doctors, Jae Lee, every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon as he and a group of sloggers take a short slog around campus.

Our definition of slogging: Unintentional ineffective attempt at running. Not actually running, not quite jogging, but sometimes faster than walking.

Our motto: Just get through it.

Our policy: Constant whining is allowed and encouraged and the entire group will gladly walk if anyone requests a short respite from the slog. Must recruit more members so we can have more people to complain to.

The full route length is a 5K with many opportunities to cheat and take a short cut back. Here's our route.
Location: Lake St. entrance to Virginia Ave parking garage
Time: Around 5:15pm Tuesdays and Thursdays
