What is BREATHE?
We are a peer organization for individual involvement and a peer education program offering outreach. Our purpose is to provide Mizzou students with an opportunity to learn and experience mind/body practices for stress management, relaxation and increase resiliency.
Our contemplative community meets weekly for a brief sitting meditation and discussion about mindfulness. We also host proactive events on campus to increase awareness of the benefits of mindfulness, breathing techniques and other practices. We regularly engage in mindful meditation and nature-based experiences.
No experience is necessary and all are welcome.
We are here because we believe in the power of mindful living to create inner balance, self-awareness, insight, authentic connection with others and an overall vibrant experience of life. We invite you to join us!
